The Hedgerow Cutter was developed by the Allies to overcome the formidable bocage terrain in Normandy, France, during the Second World War. The dense hedgerows of the bocage, with thick underbrush and high earth embankments, posed significant obstacles for tanks and infantry, offering excellent defensive positions for German forces.
The implementation of hedgerow cutters transformed the dynamics of the Normandy campaign. Tanks and other vehicles equipped with these devices could now plow through the hedgerows, reducing the German defensive advantage and facilitating the Allied advance through the countryside. This innovation significantly contributed to the success of the Allied forces in breaking out of the Normandy region and advancing further into France.
Andy's 3D Resin Printed Hedgerow Cutter (made in cooperation with Panzer Concepts) is designed to fit on the AHHQ-006 M10 Tank Destroyer (sold separately), turning it into a Rhino variant (Rhino, or Rhinoceros was the general nickname applied to vehicles with this modification).
