Canada-USA Tariff Update: What It Means for Model Builders

If you’re a hobbyist or model builder, you know how important it is to have reliable access to high-quality materials and tools. At Andy’s Hobby HQ Canada, we aim to provide just that—unwavering support for your passions and the resources you need to bring your models to life.

However, there’s been a new development that we’d like to address—a recent update regarding a 25% tariff on Canadian products shipped to the USA. Whether you’re in Canada or the USA, we want to ensure clarity on how this change might affect your experience so you can focus on what matters most—building amazing models.

A Breakdown of the Canada-USA Tariff Change

Here’s what you need to know about the recent update:

  • A 25% tariff will now apply to Canadian products shipped to the United States. This means that customers ordering from Andy’s Hobby HQ in Canada and having the parcels shipped to the USA may see an increase in costs due to the additional tariff.
  • Canadian customers can breathe easy; this update does not affect pricing or shipping within Canada. Your hobby-building journeys will continue uninterrupted and at the same competitive prices you’ve come to expect.
  • For our USA customers, all orders under $800 are duty free due to the section 321 policy. However, this may be cancelled in the near future.

We’re Here to Support Your Hobby

At the end of the day, we at Andy’s Hobby HQ Canada are passionate about supporting your model-building journeys. The updated tariff is certainly a change, but it’s not something you have to face alone. We’re committed to making this transition as smooth as possible while continuing to provide the quality products and expert service you’ve come to love.
