The Fw 189C/V-6 was a prototype variant of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 189 aircraft, developed during World War II. Known as the "Uhu" (Owl), this twin-engine aircraft was initially designed for reconnaissance and observation missions. The "C/V-6" prototype was an armoured ground-attack version, featuring reinforced protection and a modified cockpit for improved defence.
Although it did not go into mass production (only two prototypes of the Fw 189C were built), the Fw 189C/V-6 highlighted the adaptability of the Fw 189 design for various combat roles beyond reconnaissance.
ICM's 1/72 scale Fw 189C/V-6 model kit allows you to recreate this striking aircraft, with two different variations possible for the cabin's rear MG position. Markings are provided for the end of the 1940 period.
