The Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) is a heavy-duty tactical vehicle developed by Oshkosh Defense for the US Marine Corps. Designed to replace the older Logistics Vehicle System (LVS), the LVSR is a versatile 10x10 wheeled vehicle with unmatched off-road mobility, capable of carrying heavy payloads over challenging terrains. It is available in three primary variants: cargo, wrecker, and tractor. The cargo variant can transport up to 22.5 tons on-road and 16.5 tons off-road, while the wrecker variant is equipped to recover even the heaviest of vehicles, including Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicles. The LVSR’s advanced TAK-4 independent suspension system provides excellent stability and maneuverability, crucial for the rugged environments where the Marine Corps operates.

The LVSR features a powerful 600-horsepower Caterpillar C15 engine coupled with a seven-speed Allison automatic transmission, enabling it to achieve speeds of up to 105 km/h. It is also designed with modular armor protection, allowing it to be quickly adapted to different threat levels. The LVSR plays a critical role in the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF), handling a variety of logistics tasks, including transporting ammunition, fuel, and heavy equipment, thereby ensuring the mobility and sustainment of Marine forces in diverse operational settings. Since its introduction in 2009, the LVSR has significantly enhanced the logistical capabilities of the Marine Corps, particularly in challenging combat environments such as Afghanistan.
