The Spitfire Mk.Va was a British fighter variant of the iconic Supermarine Spitfire, introduced during World War II. It was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine, which gave it improved performance over earlier models. The Mk.Va was armed with eight .303 Browning machine guns and was designed primarily for air superiority and interception roles. Though quickly surpassed by later Spitfire variants, the Mk.Va played an important role in the mid-war period, engaging in combat over Europe and the Mediterranean.
