The Wiesel ('Weasel' in German) is a light armoured fighting vehicle, designed to be used by airborne forces. Air-dropping the Wiesel was also tested, but the idea was given up on, after four test vehicles were wrecked during testing!

It was intended for Wiesel to enable airborned forces to fight both infantry and AFVs; consequently, versions were made armed with either a 20 mm autocannon, or a TOW ATGM system.
